President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law, the Minimum Wage Repeal and Re-Enactment Act, 2019, giving hope to the organized labour for a better tomorrow.
The President assented to the Act on today Thursday, 18th April, 2019 in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The law makes it compulsory for all employers across the country to pay workers a minimum of N30,000.
Recall that Nigerian Senate had eralier endorsed N30, 000 as the new minimum wage for Federal and State workers in the country.
The minimum wage was approved during the Tuesday plenary after the National Minimum Wage Bill was passed by the Lawmakers.
